Locks Association of Taiwan 
Under the guidance of the Metal Industries Research & Development Center (MIRDC), a non-profit industrial organization, the Locks Association of Taiwan was formally inaugurated in June 6, 2009 at the auditorium of MIRDC in Kaohsiung, an international seaport in southern Taiwan.
The formation of the association, the first of its kind in Taiwan, was made possible by the continuous efforts of several enthusiastic industry leaders in the lock sector, including I-hui Ho, chairman and founder of Real Locks & Security Co., Ltd. Mr. Ho is a lock inventor who has received a great many rewards from country leaders and institutions at home and abroad.
The inauguration ceremony was held on June 6 at the headquarters of the Metal Industries Research & DevelopmentCenter, with government leaders from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, industry leaders and academicians officiating.
I-hui Ho, chairman of Real Locks & Security Co., Ltd. was elected chairman of the newly established association. Fifteen directors and five supervisors were elected at the inaugural meeting. Around 100 people from the lock, components and parts industry across Taiwan were present at the gathering. Dr. Michael Fu, deputy chief executive officer of MIRDC, was invited to deliver a speech among other guest speakers.
After being elected the first chairman of the Locks Association of Taiwan, Ho said several missions will be undertaken during his tenure. Internally, he will manage to turn competitors into cooperators through exchange of experience and know-how. Internationally, Ho will help to import technology to promote Taiwan's lock industry. The association chairman said he will assist his members to push brand building to make a gain in the international markets. Building up contacts with his counterparts around the world will be one of his important missions. He therefore calls for sincere and strong support of his directors, supervisors and all members of the association.
